Privacy policy
Last updated 19 August 2026
This policy describes what Wasl actually does with your information — not what a template says. Where the product enforces a rule in the database rather than only on screen, it says so.
Who holds your data
Wasl is operated by Dhya Association for Visual Disability, a non-profit licensed under number 1146 and registered with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector, based in Abha, Asir. Contact: ceo@dhya.org.sa — 0581155291.
What we collect
From every account: your name, email, phone, preferred language, and the times your account was created and changed. From job seekers: national ID, region and city, gender, disability type or types, any disability details you choose to add, your accommodation needs, headline, biography, years of experience, education level, and the certificates and qualifications you upload. From employers: company name, commercial registration number, representative name and phone, company logo, and the signed authorisation form. From use of the platform: your applications and the nominations made for you, their status history, your notifications, your support conversations, and anything you send through the feedback form. We also keep a rate-limit counter per account, and an audit record of actions taken by the Wasl team.
Why we collect it
To build one profile you can send to many opportunities without re-entering it, to let the Wasl team nominate you for suitable roles, to let employers judge whether a role fits you, and to tell you what happened to your application. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not profile you for any purpose other than matching you to work.
Your disability information
This is the most sensitive thing we hold and the reason this platform exists. You enter it once and it is reused, so you are not disclosing and justifying yourself on every application. The accommodations field asks what helps you do the work — not your diagnosis. It is optional. Disability details are optional too. What you leave blank stays blank.
Who can see what
Your profile is not public and cannot be browsed. Only an employer whose opportunity you applied to, or who received a nomination for you, can see it at all. Until that employer accepts you, they see your skills, location, certificates and accommodation needs — not your name, phone or email. Your identity is released only on acceptance. This is enforced in the database, not just in the interface, so a mistake in the screen cannot leak it. Your national ID is never shown to employers. The Wasl team can see profiles and support conversations, because approving companies, nominating people and answering questions cannot be done blind. Their actions are written to an audit trail.
What an employer may do with it
Evaluate you for the job, and nothing else. Employers are bound by a signed agreement not to share your data with any third party and not to use it for any purpose other than hiring, and to delete it or remove its link to you once that purpose ends. If you are hired, your employment contract is directly and exclusively with the employer. Wasl has no authority over you afterwards.
Support conversations
Messages you send in the support conversation are stored and can be read by the Wasl team, so that whoever answers next can see what was already said. Only you and the team can read your conversation. When the team replies we email you that a reply exists — the email never contains the message itself.
Notifications and email
We notify you in the product and by email when something happens to your application, when you are nominated, and when support replies. These emails go out through a delivery provider and contain your name, the opportunity and company involved, and a link back to the platform. These are service messages about your own account. There is no marketing list to leave.
How long we keep it, and deleting your account
You can delete your account from your settings at any time. It asks for your password, because this cannot be undone. Deleting removes your account, your profile, your applications and nominations, your notifications, your support conversations, and the files you uploaded — the documents are erased from storage, not merely unlinked. Two things survive: the audit record of actions the Wasl team took, which exists so oversight is possible, and any decision an employer already made, which was recorded before you left. There is no data export yet. If you need a copy of your data, ask us.
Your rights
You can see and correct everything in your profile from inside the product, at any time, in Arabic or English. You can withdraw an application. You can delete your account. To ask what we hold, to request a copy, or to object to how we use it, write to ceo@dhya.org.sa. Your rights under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law apply and this policy does not reduce them.
What we never collect
Payment details. Wasl is free for job seekers and the platform holds no card, bank or payment information of any kind — there is nothing to take. Anyone asking you to pay for a job through Wasl is not us. We also do not currently verify your national ID against Nafath or Absher. We collect it to keep one account per person; we do not claim to have checked it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will tell you in the product rather than quietly replacing the page. The date at the top is when it last changed.
